Final

This is what i did for my final.  I am going to use the swimming shirts i made earlier in the year.  I want to make a poster about the swim team.  I want to make it like a join the team poster and maybe put some of their information on it.  I am going to use the logos from the t-shirt i designed.

                                             

When i started to make the poster i was not really sure what to do with the background so a the time I had a simple blue gradient on it.  When i wanted to put a better background i found a photo of water and put it into illustrator.  After i rasterized it i turned the opacity down and had a blue box behind it to form a more interesting background image that was not too distracting. The background is my favorite part of the poster.  I have never really done anything like that for a background before.

Another thing was withe the pictures.  First i got them off the swim team website and then put them into illustrator.  Once i realized that i need to do something so they blended a little better into the background and did not have such harsh edges.  I opened the pictures into photoshop and there i used the blending tool.  I selected the edge of one picture at a time and then contracted the selection.  After i selected its inverse i used the blur tool to create smother edges.  I also tried not to pick to many fonts or fonts that were hard to read, but i did want to have a little variation and that is why i put the records in different font.

I looked a the comments everyone left me after i posted up the calendars and made a few changes.  I added the  year and made sure everything was centered right cause i found a few that were a little off.  Also when i posted my calendars before i missed some of the days in a couple months and made sure to get them.  

I put the year on both sides because i did not like having it on one side and the month on the other.  I did not like the way it looked, I thought it looked off center and putting it on both sides i thought it looked better on both sides.

These are the first ones i made and it is with the traditional style boxes but not with the picture above the boxes.

This was the second idea and i separated the boxes making each day individual.

This was the third idea i had making the week grouped together so if something lasts the whole week it can be written down instead of in each days box.
